The Gift of the gab is no gift at all
You may have heard the saying “two ears - one mouth, use them in those proportions”. There’s good reason for that. If you’re talking... you’re vocalising something you already know, where as when listening, you’re learning something about your client that you could use to help them choose you.
So here’s your reminder ... If you both get a cup of tea (or coffee) at the same time, you should be able to drink yours first as your client is doing all the talking and not drinking.
